ASTM F2700 - Heat Transfer Performance (HTP)

ASTM F2700, Standard Test Method for Unsteady-State Heat Transfer Evaluation of Flame Resistant Materials for Clothing with Continuous Heating (commonly known as HTP), is a small scale test method used to evaluate the heat transfer performance (HTP) of a fabric or a composite. Both spaced and contact configurations may be used in evaluation. A continuous and constant heat source is used at an exposure of 84 ± 2 kW/m². This test is one method required for compliance by NFPA 2112.
