NFPA 1975 - Emergency Work Clothing
NFPA 1975 is used for the design, performance, testing and certification of nonprimary base materials used in emergency services work apparel. The standard establishes minimum requirements for flame-resistant station uniform clothing to check that it will not contribute to injury. There are optional tests and requirements for labeling flame resistance, odor resistance, water resistance, and insect repellency.
Compliance with NFPA 1975 requires third-party certification by an ISO 17065 body. ArcWear and SEI partner to perform testing and issue third-party garment certifications using our FlashCert Services.
