The ArcWear team is excited to announce an affiliation with Dr. William F Baitinger, who will serve to provide expert consulting services to the electrical, flame, and thermal industry.
Dr. Baitinger holds a PhD in Chemistry from Princeton University. Since 1967, he has worked in the field of textiles, primarily with cotton and cotton blends. His previous affiliations have been with American Cyanamid, Cotton Incorporated, and Westex, Inc. Dr. Baitinger’s career experience is with the chemistry of cotton finishes, flame retardancy, process implementation in textile mills, and the production and distribution of fabrics used in protective clothing. Dr. Baitinger participated on technical committees for standards development for many years, including AATCC, ASTM, CPSC, CAL OSHA, and NFPA, and has extensive litigation experience.
Upon retirement from Westex, Inc. in 2014, Dr. Baitinger has functioned as a consultant in fields related to textile flammability, protective clothing, and maintenance and product liability issues.
