ASTM F2700 - Heat Transfer Performance

ASTM F2700, Standard Test Method for Unsteady-State Heat Transfer Evaluation of Flame Resistant Materials for Clothing with Continuous Heating, is a small scale test method used to evaluate the heat transfer performance of a fabric or a composite. Both spaced and contact configurations may be used in evaluation.A continuous and constant heat source is used at an exposure of 84 +/-2 kW/m2. This test is one method required for compliance by NFPA 2112.
