ASTM F2878 Standard Test Method for Protective Clothing Material Resistance to Hypodermic Needle Puncture is used for puncture resistance to hypodermic needles testing by the ANSI 105 standard on hand protection and ASTM F3258 for protector gloves as an optional test. This method is used to evaluate the puncture resistance of a material using a tensile tester and specific hypodermic needle puncture probe.
