ASTM F1930 - Manikin Test

ASTM F1930, Standard Test Method for Evaluation of Flame-Resistant Clothing for Protection Against Fire Simulations Using an Instrumented Manikin, is a large-scale flash fire manikin test cited by NFPA 2112 and ASTM F2733 for rainwear. The method uses a stationary, sensored manikin in a flash fire exposure to predict burn injury based on a theoretical skin burn model: the Stoll Curve. The requirement when testing to the NFPA 2112 standard is a maximum of 50%, and the maximum when testing materials to the ASTM F2733 standard is 40%.
